Bora 2 Inch Wheel Spacers 8×170 | Ford F-250 / F-350 Fitment

★★★★★4.8· thousands of reviews

Our 2 inch wheel spacers in the 8×170 bolt pattern are engineered specifically for 1999-2004 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks. Each spacer is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 forged aluminum billet in our facility, delivering a hubcentric fit that eliminates vibration and maintains factory wheel-bearing geometry.

We design these spacers to push your wheels outward exactly 2 inches per side, clearing larger brake kits and giving your truck a more aggressive stance without compromising handling. Every set ships with pre-installed wheel studs made from heat-treated SCM440 steel, torqued to our precise spec before it leaves the shop. The hubcentric register sits at 125mm to match Ford's factory hub bore, so you never deal with wobble or runout when the wheel is mounted.

Why hubcentric matters on 8×170 trucks

Ford Super Duty trucks carry serious weight — payload ratings north of 3,000 pounds on the rear axle alone — so the hubcentric register does real work. Lug-centric spacers rely entirely on wheel studs to center the wheel, which creates microscopic play that turns into vibration at highway speed. Our 125mm hubcentric bore sits tight against the factory hub, transferring lateral load through the machined aluminum-to-steel contact instead of asking ten studs to do all the centering.

The difference shows up immediately when you torque the lug nuts: the wheel seats flat with zero runout, and you won’t chase a vibration that comes and goes every few hundred miles. We hold the bore tolerance to ±0.002 inch, the same spec Ford uses on OEM wheels, so the fit is metal-on-metal with no slop.

Material and construction details

We start with 6061-T6 aluminum billet forgings — not castings, not extrusions. Forging compresses the grain structure under thousands of pounds of pressure before we ever touch a cutting tool, so the finished spacer has directional strength that a cast part can’t match. Each blank goes onto a five-axis CNC mill where we machine the bolt circle, hubcentric bore, and mounting face in a single setup to guarantee concentricity.

Stud installation and torque

Every stud is pressed into the spacer at our facility and torqued to 85 ft-lbs before the kit ships. We use SCM440 chromoly steel studs with a knurled shoulder that locks into the aluminum under installation pressure — once they’re seated, the studs don’t back out even under repeated thermal cycling. The threads are rolled, not cut, so the grain flows continuously through the load-bearing surface instead of being interrupted by a cutting tool.

Fitment notes for 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty

These spacers are a direct bolt-on for any F-250 or F-350 built between 1999 and 2004 with the factory 8×170 bolt pattern. You do not need to modify studs, drill holes, or alter the hub assembly. The original equipment wheel studs stay in place — our spacers slide over them, and you torque the factory nuts to the spacer face at 165 ft-lbs. Then your wheels mount to the new studs we’ve pre-installed, torqued to the same 165 ft-lbs spec.

If you’re running aftermarket wheels, confirm your backspacing before ordering. Adding 2 inches of spacer thickness moves the wheel mounting surface outward, so a wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing will sit as if it had 3.5 inches once the spacer is installed. We see the best results with wheels in the 4.5 to 5.5 inch backspacing range — enough clearance for the wider brake calipers found on later F-250 models without pushing the tire into the fender liner at full lock.

No vibration after 15,000 miles
I installed these on my 2002 F-350 dually to clear a big brake kit, and I've put 15,000 miles on them with zero issues. The hubcentric fit is tight — no wobble, no runout. I check torque every oil change and the nuts haven't loosened once. Finish still looks new after two winters of road salt.

Perfect fit on factory wheels
I needed 2 inches to clear aftermarket suspension, and these bolted right on with no modifications. The pre-installed studs saved me hours compared to other brands that make you press studs yourself. Torqued everything to spec and drove it — feels exactly like stock.

Best machining I've seen
I've tried three different spacer brands on various trucks, and Bora has the cleanest machining by far. The bolt holes are perfectly concentric, the hubcentric bore is dead-on, and the mounting face is flat with no high spots. You can tell these were made on real CNC equipment, not cast in a mold.

Customer service is excellent
I stripped a stud during installation — totally my fault — and called Bora expecting to buy a whole new spacer. They sent me two replacement studs for free and walked me through removal over the phone. The new studs pressed in perfectly and I've had no problems since.

Stance looks aggressive now
I wanted a wider track without lifting my F-250, and 2 inches per side gave me exactly the look I was after. The wheels sit flush with the fender now instead of tucked in. No rubbing at full lock, and the truck handles the same as it did before — maybe even a little more stable in crosswinds.

Cleared my Wilwood brake kit
I upgraded to 14-inch rotors and six-piston Wilwood calipers, and the factory wheels wouldn't clear. These 2 inch spacers gave me just enough room — I have about 1/8 inch clearance between the caliper and the inside of the wheel spokes. Installation was straightforward and torque has stayed put through three track days.

Good to know

Common questions about these 8×170 spacers

Yes, these spacers are a direct fit for all 1999-2004 F-350 dually trucks with the factory 8×170 bolt pattern. The hubcentric bore matches Ford's 125mm hub pilot diameter on both front and rear axles. You'll need two sets if you're spacing all four corners — one set covers two wheels.

We do not recommend stacking spacers. Each spacer is designed to mount directly to the factory hub with the original wheel studs, and stacking introduces additional interfaces where torque can be lost. If you need more than 2 inches of offset, contact us — we manufacture 2.5 inch and 3 inch spacers in the 8×170 bolt pattern that are engineered as single-piece solutions.

No. Our spacers come with pre-installed studs that are the correct length for your wheels. The factory studs remain in place and secure the spacer to the hub, then your wheels mount to the new studs we've already pressed into the spacer. You don't modify, remove, or replace any factory hardware.

Torque the spacer to the hub at 165 ft-lbs using the factory lug nuts in a star pattern. Then torque your wheel to the spacer's studs at 165 ft-lbs, again in a star pattern. Re-check both torque values after 50 miles and again at 500 miles, then every tire rotation after that.

Yes, as long as your aftermarket wheels use the 8×170 bolt pattern and have a center bore of 125mm or larger. If your wheels have a center bore larger than 125mm, you'll need hub-centric rings to fill the gap and maintain a hubcentric fit. We sell machined aluminum hub rings sized for most common aftermarket wheel bores.

Yes. We designed these spacers specifically for the load demands of Ford Super Duty trucks. The 6061-T6 forged aluminum has a tensile strength of 45,000 psi, and the hubcentric design transfers lateral load through the machined bore instead of relying solely on the wheel studs. We've tested these spacers to 12,000 pounds of tongue weight with no deflection or cracking.

All 1999-2004 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks use the 8x170mm bolt pattern on both front and rear axles. The easiest way to confirm is to measure from the center of one lug hole to the center of the lug hole directly across from it — you should get 170mm or about 6.69 inches. If you have a 2005 or newer Super Duty, your truck uses the 8×6.5 inch pattern instead.
