Bora 1 Inch Wheel Spacers | Precision Fit for Trucks & SUVs
Our 1 inch wheel spacers transform your truck or SUV's stance by pushing wheels outward for a more aggressive look and improved stability. Machined from T6061 forged aluminum, each spacer is engineered for perfect hub-centric fit to eliminate vibration and ensure safe operation at highway speeds.
We designed these spacers with extended hardened steel studs pressed and torqued to OEM specifications. The aerospace-grade aluminum construction resists corrosion while maintaining strength under load. Whether you're clearing larger brake calipers, accommodating wider tires, or simply achieving that flush stance, our 1 inch spacers deliver measurable improvements in track width and cornering confidence.

Hub-Centric Engineering & Vibration Elimination
Every bora 1 inch wheel spacer ships with a machined hub pilot ring that matches your vehicle’s factory hub bore diameter to the micron. This hub-centric design transfers load through the hub rather than relying solely on lug studs, eliminating the wheel wobble and steering vibration common with lug-centric spacers.
We measure the factory hub bore for over 800 truck and SUV applications and machine each spacer’s pilot ring to match within 0.002 inches. The result is a wheel-to-spacer interface as tight as the factory wheel-to-hub fit. When you torque the factory wheel onto our spacer, the hub pilot carries rotational forces while the studs provide clamping force—exactly how your vehicle was engineered to operate.

Forged Aluminum Construction & Load Ratings
We start with T6061 aluminum billet and forge each spacer blank under 2,000 tons of pressure before CNC machining. This forging process aligns the aluminum grain structure for superior tensile strength compared to cast or extruded spacers.
Each 1 inch spacer is rated to support 3,000 pounds of vertical load per wheel position—well above the per-corner weight of full-size trucks and heavy SUVs. The anodized surface finish resists road salt and corrosion while adding a subtle gray appearance that matches most OEM wheel finishes. We recommend re-torquing lug nuts to factory spec after the first 50 miles and checking torque every 5,000 miles as part of regular maintenance.
Stud Installation & Thread Engagement
Pre-Installed Hardened Studs
Our spacers arrive with Grade 10.9 hardened steel studs already pressed and torqued into the spacer body. Each stud is installed with red thread locker and torqued to 80 ft-lbs to prevent backing out under load. The extended stud length provides full thread engagement for your factory or aftermarket lug nuts.
Proper Torque Sequence
We include detailed torque instructions with every kit. Use a star pattern when tightening lug nuts—never tighten in a circle. Torque to your vehicle’s factory specification in three stages: 50%, 75%, then 100% of final torque. This staged approach ensures even clamping pressure across all studs and prevents warping the spacer or wheel.

Common Questions About 1 Inch Wheel Spacers
When installed correctly, bora 1 inch wheel spacers add minimal stress to wheel bearings. The 1 inch offset increases the lever arm on the bearing by approximately 4-6% depending on your vehicle's track width, well within the safety margin engineered into OEM bearings.
Our hub-centric design ensures the spacer carries rotational loads through the hub pilot rather than stressing the studs, which further reduces bearing side-load. We recommend inspecting wheel bearings during regular maintenance intervals, but customers report no accelerated wear even after 50,000+ miles of use.
Our 1 inch spacers come with extended hardened steel studs already installed, so you do not need to replace your factory studs. The included lug nuts are designed to thread onto these extended studs and provide full engagement.
You will use the included lug nuts instead of your factory ones. Each lug nut is open-ended to clear the extended stud length and provides at least 8 full threads of engagement, which meets or exceeds SAE safety standards for lug nut installations.
You can stack different Bora spacer sizes to fine-tune your offset, though we recommend keeping total thickness per wheel under 2 inches to maintain safe stud engagement and minimize bearing stress. For example, stacking a 1 inch spacer with a 3/8 inch spacer gives you 1.375 inches of total spacing.
When stacking, install the thicker spacer against the hub first, then mount the thinner spacer on top. Torque each layer separately and re-check torque after 50 miles. For spacing over 2 inches total, we recommend our purpose-built 2 inch or larger single-piece spacers instead of stacking.
Wheel spacers do not change your steering geometry or turning radius. The wheels move outward but maintain the same steering angle limits as factory. What can change is tire clearance—pushing the wheels outward by 1 inch may cause wider tires to contact the fender liner or frame at full steering lock, especially on lifted vehicles.
Before installing, turn your steering wheel to full lock and measure the gap between your tire and the nearest obstruction. If you have less than 1.5 inches of clearance, you may need to trim fender liners or adjust suspension components to prevent rubbing.
Hub-centric spacers like ours have a machined pilot ring that fits snugly over your vehicle's hub, centering the spacer before you tighten the lugs. This design transfers rotational forces through the hub itself, exactly like your factory wheel-to-hub interface.
Lug-centric spacers rely solely on lug nuts for centering, which can cause vibration because the spacer may not sit perfectly centered on the hub. The vibration comes from a slight imbalance as the wheel rotates. Our hub-centric design eliminates this issue and is the only type we manufacture because it replicates OEM fitment standards.
We strongly recommend using a calibrated torque wrench for installation. Over-torquing can stretch studs or crack the spacer, while under-torquing allows the spacer to shift and can lead to stud failure.
Your vehicle's factory torque specification is engineered for safe clamping force, and a torque wrench is the only way to reliably achieve it. Most auto parts stores rent or loan torque wrenches for free. If you don't have access to one, we recommend having a professional shop install the spacers to ensure proper torque and safety.
Wheel spacers are legal for street use in all 50 states as long as the wheels and tires remain within the vehicle's fender line and all lug nuts are properly torqued. Some states require annual safety inspections that check for proper installation and secure fasteners.
Our spacers meet SAE J2530 standards for wheel mounting hardware and are engineered to OEM safety margins. We include installation instructions that comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards. Always check your local vehicle code for specific requirements regarding wheel offset and fender coverage in your area.
